Flight cancellations and airspace closures

Lufthansa strike and war in the Middle East

A strike by Lufthansa pilots employed by the flagship airline and Lufthansa CityLine has been announced for the period from Thursday, March 12, 2026, 12:01 a.m., to Friday, March 13, 2026, 11:59 p.m. (CET).

Flights to the following countries are not affected by this strike: Egypt, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Yemen, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Please refer to the latest information provided by the respective airlines on their websites, as well as the notices and information provided by the airlines in our Cockpit. In addition, we recommend that you follow the travel and safety advice of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
